The Tao of Duckman – He Ties a Rubber Duck To His Bike!

We’re not the only rubber duck obsessed people in the world and it’s fun reading about other people’s exploits and interactions with their duck friends. Most people are happy with a collection of rubber ducks and taking them out for the odd photo opportunity. However Brian Archer, who is from Tennessee and blogs at The Tao of Duckman, straps his rubber ducks to his bike and takes them on endurance races.

Even better he numbers his ducks as after several races they get a bit worn out and battered. The man’s obviously totally insane – no one in their right mind would cycle the races he does. The Tao of Duckman is an interesting and well kept up to date blog. You’ll especially enjoy it if you’re into mountain biking and endurance racing, but there’s a few pictures of the rubber duck on the bike for all the duck lovers too.

However what is really cool about Brian’s blog is the reason he gives for loving the rubber duck – he describes it as “the epitome of youth and simplicity. The rubber duck reminds me that life is not about a big house, a big salary or any of the other things our society uses to define success. Life is about the experience”. A brilliant philosophy!

Take a look at The Tao of Duckman and follow Brian (and his duck) in his endurance cycling races during 2009.
