The BBC have a picture of yesterday’s Great London Duck Race. Over 20000 yellow rubber ducks with sunglasses raced along the river with the winning duck crossing the line in just over 30 minutes. According to the report “things did not go quite to plan as the strong tide swept almost half the toys out of the roped-off channel they were supposed to float along”.

There’s more information at Duck Central where you’ll also find news of the next race on August 6th. The ducks will be racing along a stretch of the River Ouse banked by St Neots Riverside Park.
