The Great London Duck Race
Leave the first response July 30, 2006 / Posted in Duck Races, NewsOver 30000 yellow ducks wearing sunglasses are expected to be bobbing along The River Thames on July 30th as part of the Great London Duck Race. Similar events have taken place in America, but this will be the first event in London. Ducks can be sponsored for £10, and there’s a host of prizes to be won for the ducks that swim the furthest.
The London event follows hot on the heels of a similar duck race that took place on July 28th in Cambridge (The BBC. Rob Clay Rivers aimed to make history by holding the largest ever rubber duck race on the River Cam!
